Kevin Van Vleet Sr. of Watkins died Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was 63.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at 894 Hoyt Ave. NW in Annandale, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. It will be a potluck with meat, buns, and water provided. Space will be available for tents/campers.
Kevin James Van Vleet Sr. was born Aug. 7, 1957, to Myron Harry Van Vleet and Violet Mae Van Vleet in Minneapolis. Kevin attended high school in Litchfield, and he graduated from St. Cloud Technical College. He recently retired after a long career as an electrician. Kevin liked hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing video games. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog Danny.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen Deschene, and grandson Maxwell Voigt.
He is survived by his friend Colette Van Vleet; children Desirea (and Anthony) Ellis-Van Vleet, Anthony Van Vleet, Shawn (and Marie) Voigt, Kevin (and Laurie) Van Vleet Jr., and Eric (and Nicole) Sullinger; grandchildren Alex, Shantell, Allison, Chris, Mataya, Aiden, Jase, Mayli, Abbigail, Gavin, Neymar, Grace, and Camilla; and siblings Keith Van Vleet, Colleen (and Frank) Becker, Kathy (and Chuck) Smith, Kim O’Leary, Kay Van Vleet, Kyle Van Vleet, and Kelly Van Vleet.
