Kimball qualified all 14 starting varsity wrestlers for the state preliminary tournament last weekend in Rochester, which is the first time this has ever happened. The boys all wrestled to or above their section seedings! Here are specific results below: 1st and 3rd places were not yet wrestled at press time.
From Kimball, Gavin Winter 126#, Zack Holtz 160#, Ashton Hanan 170#, and Carter Holtz will compete in the State Individuals tournament this weekend at St. Michael-Albertville.
The Kimball team also earned its way to the team State tournament to take place at St. Michael-Albertville H.S. Saturday, March 27. Kimball will first face Royalton/Upsala starting at 9 a.m., then face the winner of Jackson County Central vs Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie later in the day for State Champion.
