The Cubs were on the road Tuesday, Feb. 9, against the Maple Lake Irish. The Cubs started the game out strong led by their team defense that gave the Irish trouble all game long. The Cubs were able to take an 18 to 8 halftime lead. The Cubs continued their strong team defense of performance in the second half by only allowing 8 points in the half and giving up a total of 16 the whole game. Offensively the Cubs used a balance attack that saw eight different Cubs players score including Evan Powell leading the way with 11. The Cubs would go onto win the game 37 to 16 and their record improving to 5 wins and 3 losses on the season.
