In yet another adaptation this year because of COVID-19, the parishes of St. Anthony and Assumption Church hosted a drive-through Nativity program Dec. 30 for all to enjoy. Eight scenes were set up throughout Watkins depicting the story of Jesus’ birth. Spectators were able to start from St. Anthony’s, safely in their own vehicles, following signs from one scene to the next. There was audio narration at each scene. Above is the final Nativity scene. Originally scheduled for Dec. 23, the drive-through Nativity pageant was postponed a week because of bad weather. (See another photo on page 12.) Photos and audio from the pageant can be viewed on the parish Facebook page. Submitted photo.
Above, a photo from another of the 8 scenes of the live, outdoor Nativity program hosted last week by the parishes of St. Anthony and Assumption Church. This was Scene 4: Mary and Joseph prepare for the journey. If you missed this event (that was rescheduled to Dec. 30 because of blizzard conditions Dec. 23), you can see photos and hear audio on the parishes’ Facebook page.
