Back to school, 2020 style

Submitted photos.

The energy and exuberance of students arriving Thursday, Sept. 3, for the first day of the school year was only slightly muted by the required face coverings. Students arrived at Kimball Elementary School and were directed to one of three entrances at the front of the school, based on their grade. Submitted photo.

Kimball students returned to school on Thursday, Sept. 3. Above (and on page 12), Kimball Elementary Students arrive at school that morning to be directed to separate entrances by grade; the goal is to keep students from congregating as they arrive to and depart from school. KES students, to start, will attend in-person classes Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday with Wednesday being designated for deep cleaning at the school. Kimball Area High School students have been divided into two groups with one group attending in-person classes Monday/Tuesday and the other attending Thursday/Friday; distance learning will be on the alternating days, and Wednesdays are designated for Homeroom and help days (not in the school building).
