The seventh-grade Kimball Cubs girls’ basketball team wrapped up their season at the annual CMC Jr. High girls’ basketball tournament Saturday, Feb. 22, at Howard Lake High School.

The Cubs worked extremely hard, but were defeated by Paynesville and Howard Lake in very closely contested games. The team closed out their season with a record of 7 wins and 6 losses.

The team worked really hard this season, both individually and as a team, showing daily improvement. I really commend and thank them for their effort and hard work. The practices and games were fun to coach as this group was always ready for the next challenge, always wanting to learn more, and always working to learn more about the game of basketball.

The team and I would like to thank all the fans who supported us both home and away. Go Cubs!
